On the 7th January close to 150 trucks turned up at the Pukekohe Park Raceway to help raise money for the Camp Quality organisation. Camp Quality is a non profit organisation that run fun activities for children suffering from cancer.
A convoy of trucks left Penrose in Auckland on Sunday morning and met with others at the Bombay hills. Once at the race track the convoy did a couple of laps around the three kilometre circuit. During the day twenty trucks were giving rides to the public while the rest were parked up for public display.
The trucks weren't the only attractions, V8 Supercar star Greg Murphy was their giving hot laps along with other cars and there were various additional activities for the whole family. By the end of the day $12,000 was raised.
