May Feature

Hayden Bell has been working for Mainfreight for 15 years now. He runs three truck and trailer units and a small rigid. His dream has been to own a truck that looked a "little" different and something that featured some personal touches. So when he ordered the Scania he came up with a design that looks sensational day and night.

Inside the truck feature custom black leather, including seats and cab lining. But its the outside where Hayden’s design has excelled. Chris Stanley cut a drop visor, the great looking stainless cab fairings and stainless steps inserts. The polished super single steerers are another thing that makes the Scania look a bit different.

Murals on the truck were applied by TCC Solutions and feature Hayden’s dogs - Dusk and Dawn. The back of the trailer is a tribute to his family, friends and all who have either helped or shared his journey so far.

As soon as the sun sets, the truck literally lights up the night. White LED lights on the cab, there is a staggering 30m of neon strip on the truck and trailer as well as LEDs on the curtains. The truck picked up the Night Glow prize at the Morrinsville Motorama show earlier in the year.

The Scania hauls general freight from Auckland to Wanganui at nights and occasional work around Auckland. Congratulations to Hayden for presenting his Scania to such a high level. Special thanks to Jarred (Hayden’s brother) for his time in preparing the truck for the shoot.
