The under lift is rated at 20 tonne lift and the winch at 35 tonne. It came with a full range of forks, chains, snow chains, light bar etc. It was time to change the name from Cheviot Lumber Co. to Cheviot Towing & Maintenance Co. and start running the big one along side the wee F250 Ford hook truck.

Finally after running the Kenworth up and down the country it could take a more cruzie roll dealing to breakdowns and incidents around Canterbury.

X. What are some of the other modifications made to the truck?
L. Most recent additions have been the stainless visor, I modified some 59 Cadillac tail light lenses and fitted them in the marker light bullets, added 10 stud alloy hubs to the rear and of course the star of the show has to be Elvis at JBFX for the sign writing. I said I didn't want any of that stuck on rubbish, it had to be done the old skool way and that's exactly what I got, plenty of brush marks and nostalgia with out going to far.

Shane at Exclusive Collision Repairs in Christchurch painted one of the lockers in his booth as the weather in Cheviot was not being kind at the time and I just needed to get it on the road to get back to what I enjoy. Mind you with the way it's been going lately I might get less sleep than I was on linehaul! Future plans, decent Texas bumper, have 24.5 inch alloys coming from States for the rear to replace the 24.5 steels and build the flasher rack behind the sleeper to carry the full width force 4 light bar - "KEEP ON TRUCKIN".
