Owner: TGH Haulage

Truck: Kenworth K108

Trevor Harcourt is well known for owning classy gear and when it comes to putting a truck on the road he is known for his meticulous attention to detail. Other well known trucks that he has owned in the past include: ‘USAKW’, an impressive all white K100e Kenworth 2.3m Aerodyne imported direct from the States; ‘Airforce1’,a sharp looking Western Star 4900EX (extended hood), and ‘The Terminator’, a distinctive flat roof 2.3m K104 Kenworth with a matching 6 axle b-train.

In 2011, a chance to purchase a relatively new (2008) second hand
‘king’ cab K108 Kenworth aerodyne arrived and Trevor didn’t hesitate.
Although the truck was already high specced he wanted to carry out a
total transformation. With the help of BiggSpec Custom Trucks of
Auckland the K108 was given a complete overhaul.

Some of the extras on the long list include: horizontal grille bars, drop-visor, original drive wheel guards fitted to the front steerers, 7” mitre cut exhausts plus 7” air rams and chrome air intakes, custom made bottom bumper lip, custom TGH and xXx badges, clear lens indicators and custom xXx mudflap weights and the list continues. To make the truck standout during the night 100+ LEDs have been fitted, most of which are found in groups of nine along the bumper, cab roof, top of aero-kit, fuel tank panels and back of the cab side deflectors.

The lasercut Kenworth shields and emblems on the side of the cab are also back-lit in red. The interior has also been given the luxury treatment with stainless buttons added to the drivers and passenger doors, a revolver gun barrel knob for the gearstick, stainless bezels for the dials and gauges and full button leather upholstery.

This big Kenworth can normally be seen pulling a three axle trailer with two axle pup in tow, hauling refrigerated produce for Halls. An Auckland to Wellington ferry swap is the typical run for the combination. Power comes in the form of 550hp Cat C15 engine coupled to an 18 speed Roadranger transmission with a Jacobs engine brake and a CAT brakesaver.

Big thanks to Trevor for giving us the opportunity to feature his xXx Kenworth and for his time in preparing this superb new attraction.
